HORIZONTAL CUTTER HEAD DREDGES
VMI now offers three sizes of our horizontal cutter head dredge. Models to choose from are: MD-415, MD-615 and our new MD-815.
All of our horizontal cutter head dredges have our Patented Full Width Flow-Through Suction Horizontal Cutter Heads to Ensure Maximum Uptake. These are truck transportable dredges now have more powerful engines, more durable cutter assemblies and improved hydraulic systems. Each horizontal cutter head dredge is equipped with a High Chrome Pump for maximum durability and service life. Each function has its own hydraulic pump which eliminated hydraulic starvation among other hydraulically driven components during operation. Our dredges feature high pressure hydraulic filters in teh cutter head and centrifugal pump drives to increase life by reducing possible contamination within the system. The pontoons for these portable dredges are corofoam filled to help ensure the dredge stays afloat in case a pontoon is punctured. All of our horizontal cutter head dredges are specially designed and ideal for clean-up of municipal sewage plants, water treatment facilities, power plants, paper mills, feed lots, packing plants, and marinas.
